Just tap the VoiceThis Text Pro icon (speech bubble with SMS inside) on your home screen and you will see the VoiceThis loading screen. VoiceThis will only need to import your contact list and messages the first time it loads. Afterwards, time to load will depend on how many contacts you have, but in general you should see consistent load time of 2-3 seconds. We do not require an internet connection, nor do we need access to any of your contact data for VoiceThis to run.

This is the loading screen.
This is the Voice Text Pro main command screen. Since Voice Text Pro uses the iPhone's motion detector to know when to start recording, there is no need to press any buttons (you can optionally press the button to activate the mic). Just hold the iphone tilted to your ear and speak.

To send a text message by voice with Voice Text Pro, just follow these simple steps:
1. Holding the iPhone tilted to your ear, say the contact name. (there is no need to press the button)
2. Once the contact is selected, hold the iphone to your ear and say the text message.
3. The text message will appear with the contact and optionally auto-text on a 5 second timer. You can either let the message get sent, cancel the message by shaking the iPhone, or "say more" by holding the iphone to your ear and saying an additional message.
4. The Mail app will be auto-loaded with the contact and message already pre-populated. You need simply hit "send" to send the message. All messages will be received as a regular text message by the recipient.

For example, to text message to "Jane Doe", you would first hold the iphone to your ear and say 'Jane Doe". Then say the message that you want to text to Jane, such as "What are you doing this weekend?" or "I had a great time last night" or "Do you have class" etc. Keep in mind, you can always combine messages to say more such as "Where are you? Let's have lunch sometime." or "What are you up to? Basketball tomorrow?"

| If you have "Auto-Dial First Number" set to ON, VoiceThis will always auto-dial the first number of any contact, this way you do not need to select the phone type of a contact with multiple numbers. However, if you have Auto-Dial First Number OFF, you simply need to either hold the iphone up to your ear (VoiceThis Dialer v1.4.2 only) or tap the "Tap to Speak" button and then say "Call" followed by the phone type, for example "Call Mobile Number", "Call Home Number" etc. In this example we call Jane's home by saying, "Call Home Number". If you have Delay Before Dialing ON as shown in this example, the specified number will be dialed after a 5 second timer, unless you elect to cancel. You can cancel by either Shaking the iPhone or pressing the red cancel button. If you have Delay Before Dialing OFF, the specified number will be dialed immediately. click here to see the video |

| There will be variations to call with different preferences selected. For
example, if you prefer to have a chance to cancel the call before it is placed
you should select Delay Before Dialing to ON. If you like to return to your home
screen instead of VoiceThis after your call ends, just set "Quit after dial"
to ON. If you find you often call contacts by their mobile number you could select
Auto-Dial First Number to ON so that you do not need to select a phone type. You can always change these settings by going to the "Settings" tab within VoiceThis. |

If your state requires hands free operation, you might experiment with your iPhone earbuds and microphone. The microphone is integrated into the right side line of your headset, so just make sure you speak directly into this mic.

Remember, safety is always first. Do not attempt to make a call, even with voice commands, without taking every safety precaution necessary for your particular situation.

VoiceThis will still function, and you will still be able to voice dial any of your contacts below this limit. Keep in mind, any of your contacts that do not have a phone number (e-mail only or other) VoiceThis does NOT count in the 2,000 limit. So you could easily have 3,000 contacts and only 2,000 of which have phone numbers. You might also consider creating a group of contacts, that you know you will dial more than others and only load these contacts to your iPhone. Future updates will allow for customized selection of contacts to be used with VoiceThis, allowing you to make your own list.

• Tap the "Contacts" tab
• Here you will see your entire contact list. Simply choose the non-English character contact you want to enable for voice dialing.
• You will see the "Edit Pronunciation" screen which includes the contact name and a text box entry for inserting the new pronunciation.
Tap the text box and begin typing in the new pronunciation that you would like to use for the contact. VoiceThis will automatically reflect the changes by intelligently inserting the blue phonemes at the bottom as you type. When you are finished, just click "Done". As shown in the example below, this Chinese character contact can now be voice dialed with VoiceThis.
Here are some more examples:
French contact name: Frederic Dubois
Type in the text box: Fred Air E K Dubois
German contact name: Florian Muller
Type in the text box: Florian Mew l uh r

Voice Text Pro utilizes Email-SMS gateways so that you can send all text messages for free. In order to do this, each contact must be assigned with its own individual mobile carrier. Voice Text Pro already comes with each contact assigned as AT&T as default. You can change the carrier for a contact at anytime as follows:
Tap the "Contacts" tab
• Here you will see your entire contact list.
• Once you have chosen the contact, you will see the mobile carrier in blue at the bottom (i.e. AT&T).
• Tap the carrier name, then select the proper carrier for the contact (i.e. Choose Verizon if the contact uses Verizon)
That's it! You will no longer ever need to edit the carrier of a contact again as long as that contact does not switch their mobile carrier. click here to see the video

| Voice Text Pro allows you to create a nickname for any contact simply by choosing the contact in the "Contacts" tab and then inserting the nickname. For example below, I have chosen the nickname "akoozy" for my friend "Pascal Akoussoulelou Bodjona". Now anytime I want to voice dial this contact, I can simply say "Akoozy". |
